Braidwood Lodge №. 9802 of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons

Braidwood Lodge №. 9802 | James Braidwood

Who we are?

We are Braidwood Lodge founded some 16 years ago and we take our name from James Braidwood who was the first Chief Fire Officer of London Fire Engine Establishment (the forerunner of the London Fire Brigade).

We are one of the group of West Kent Masons based at the Dartford Masonic Hall at the top of West Hill in Dartford.

Many (but not all) members have an emergency service and or public service background and are very caring and supportive.

We are though, definitely an open Lodge and welcome people from any background and professions.

We meet on four occasions a year on the first Tuesdays in September, December, February and the second Tuesday in May commencing at around 5:00pm and including a three

course meal. All for a very reasonable annual fee.

Our December meeting and meal has a very festive atmosphere and is always popular.

Our social activities in general consist of a "Ladies Night" annually, Sunday Family Lunches including widows of deceased members of our lodge, Summer Barbeques and the odd themed Quiz Night.

The lodge does have a reputation for having great fun and good banter whilst doing some good along the way.

We hope you may be interested in joining our lodge.

Please remember, you don't have to join alone. If you have a friend who is also interested, we are quite willing to take you both.
